Mohamed Salah made history by scoring his 51st European goal for Liverpool, becoming one of the top 10 scorers in UEFA Champions League history.
His milestone came during Liverpool’s 2-1 victory over Lille at Anfield, securing their place in the knockout stages. Salah opened the scoring with a superb curling shot, assisted by Curtis Jones.
This goal ties Salah with Thierry Henry on the all-time Champions League scoring list. Harvey Elliott sealed the win after Lille’s Jonathan David equalized following Aïssa Mandi's red card. Liverpool remains unbeaten in this season’s Champions League, with seven consecutive wins.
Salah, now among legends like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, expressed pride in his achievement. He has 21 goals and 17 assists this season, possibly his last with Liverpool.
