Mohammed Polo was more skillful than Lionel Messi - Fiifi Banson

Veteran sports journalist Fiifi Banson has stirred debate by claiming that Ghanaian football legend Mohammed Polo was more skilful than Lionel Messi.

Speaking on Sporty FM, Banson argued that while Messi is globally recognized, Polo possessed superior raw skill.

Polo, known as the "Dribbling Magician," is regarded as one of Ghana’s most technically gifted players. He played a crucial role in Ghana’s 1978 Africa Cup of Nations-winning team and was a standout left winger for Hearts of Oak.

Throughout his career, Polo won several accolades, including the 1978 AFCON title and the 1975 Ghanaian Footballer of the Year award. His dribbling ability and technical brilliance remain legendary in Ghanaian football history.
