Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu had a challenging return to England as AS Monaco fell 3-0 to Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League. A costly back pass by Salisu allowed Kai Havertz to set up Bukayo Saka for Arsenal's decisive second goal in the 78th minute.
Saka, who had opened the scoring in the first half from Gabriel Jesus’ cross, also played a pivotal role in Arsenal’s dominance.
Despite Monaco’s improved second-half performance, their efforts fell short. Havertz sealed the win for the Gunners with a late goal.
Salisu, who has been in strong form this season after an injury-marred first year at Monaco, played the full game but will look to bounce back after this disappointing outing.
