Didier Drogba defended Jose Mourinho after Galatasaray accused the Fenerbahce coach of making racist remarks following a goalless derby.
Mourinho said the Galatasaray bench was "jumping like monkeys," prompting backlash.
Galatasaray board member Can Natan called the comment "insulting" and part of a "troubling pattern."
However, Drogba insisted Mourinho is "not a racist," saying, "I have known Jose for 25 years. How can my 'Dad' be a racist?"
Sources close to Mourinho say he is considering legal action, while Fenerbahce claims his words were "taken out of context."
Mourinho, who joined Fenerbahce in 2024, has repeatedly criticized Turkish referees.
His controversial remarks have led to fines and suspensions, fueling tensions in Turkish football.
