A District Court in Sunyani has imposed travel restrictions on Ignatius Baffour-Awuah, former Employment and Labour Relations Minister and owner of Nsoatreman FC, as part of his bail conditions.

He is not allowed to leave the Sunyani Municipality without judicial approval.

Baffour-Awuah and two others appeared in court over the murder of a Kumasi Asante Kotoko supporter during a violent incident at a match between Nsoatreman FC and Kotoko.

He was charged with abetment to commit murder and granted bail but must submit his passport to the court. One suspect was charged with murder and remanded in custody.

The case continues as the court investigates the tragic event, which has raised concerns about fan safety and the need for stronger security at football matches.
