NBA Playoffs: Damian Lillard injured in Bucks’ Game 4 Loss to Pacers

Damian Lillard Injured Again

Damian Lillard worked hard to return from deep vein thrombosis. He aimed to join his Milwaukee Bucks teammates for the playoffs. Unfortunately, he suffered another injury in just his third game back.

Lillard was helped off the court during Game 4 against the Indiana Pacers. This happened midway through the first quarter of a 129-103 loss. The injury occurred without contact, raising concerns about its severity.

A preliminary examination suggested a possible Achilles tendon injury. A source told The Associated Press about this on condition of anonymity. The Bucks only confirmed it as a lower left leg injury.

Bucks coach Doc Rivers commented on the situation. “They’re going to do an image tomorrow,” he said. “It’s not very promising.”

During the game, Lillard was near the 3-point line when he tipped a ball. He used his left hand to pass it to teammate Gary Trent Jr. After that, he fell and grabbed his lower left leg around the ankle.

Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo praised Lillard's toughness. “He’s one of the toughest guys I’ve ever been around,” he said. “I believe he’ll overcome every obstacle.” Everyone is ready to support him during this time.
