NBA Playoffs: I didn’t get enough shots to say I struggled- Anthony Edwards on Minnesota’s Game 4 Loss

Anthony Edwards, the Minnesota Timberwolves' star, spoke to the media after a tough game. The Timberwolves lost 128-126 to the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 4 of the Western Conference finals. Edwards defended his performance despite a quiet offensive night.

"I don’t look at it like I struggled," he said. "They had a good game plan that made us get off the ball." He noted that he made the right plays throughout the game.

Edwards scored only 16 points, his second-lowest total this postseason. He finished with 5-for-13 shooting and attempted just seven three-pointers. "I didn’t get enough shots to say I struggled," he added.

In previous games, Edwards scored over 30 points. However, he was contained against OKC, especially in the first half with just four points on 1-for-2 shooting. His shot attempts have decreased from earlier rounds.

"It's an urge to score," Edwards said about wanting to shoot more. "But you don’t want to take bad shots and disrupt team rhythm." He emphasized playing the game correctly.

Wolves coach Chris Finch noted that Edwards improved as the game went on. "In the second half, he was more aggressive," Finch said. He mentioned that they adjusted their strategy to help Edwards find better opportunities.

Overall, Finch felt that while Edwards lagged in the first half, he performed much better later in the game.
