NBA Playoffs: OKC Thunder blowout Minnesota to reach Finals

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 34 points in this game. He was named MVP of the Western Conference finals. This is his first league MVP award.

Gilgeous-Alexander could be the first player since Stephen Curry to win both awards in one season. Chet Holmgren contributed with 22 points, seven rebounds, and three blocks. Jalen Williams added 19 points and eight rebounds.

The Thunder achieved their fourth win by over 30 points this postseason. This sets a new NBA record for a single postseason, according to ESPN Research.

Oklahoma City will face either the Indiana Pacers or New York Knicks in the finals. Indiana leads their series 3-1, with Game 5 scheduled for Thursday in New York City. The Thunder will have homecourt advantage starting June 5 due to their league-best regular-season record of 68-14.

The franchise has never won a title since moving to Oklahoma City in 2008-09. However, they did win a championship as the Seattle Supersonics in 1979.
