NBA Playoffs: Warriors irked by Rockets aggressive approach to Steph Curry in loss

Following the Rockets' 131-116 win over the Golden State Warriors, questions arose. Reporters asked if Brooks and the Rockets were targeting Curry's injured thumb. This tactic is allowed by NBA rules if contact occurs after the shot.

The Warriors did not address this directly. However, a broadcaster noted that the Rockets had aimed for Curry's thumb in Games 4 and 5.

Curry scored 13 points and had seven assists in 23 minutes. He said, "You don’t think about it. If it’s a foul, they should call it."

Curry first injured his thumb in January. Each time it felt better, he would reinjure it. He hurt it again in the second-to-last game of the regular season.

He has been playing with a wrap on his thumb. After games, he applies ice and receives treatment. Despite this, he claims it does not affect his performance.

“It is something I am dealing with,” Curry stated.

Warriors power forward Draymond Green also noticed the Rockets hitting Curry's thumb. He said, “I think it’s pretty obvious.” However, he added that he wouldn’t complain to the league about it.

Steve Kerr agreed with Green's observation but emphasized that players will take any advantage within rules. He believes the league should adjust this rule next season.
