NBA Playoffs: We came out desperate- Gilgeous-Alexander on OKC’s 43 point win over Nuggets

The Oklahoma City Thunder bounced back from a tough loss. They defeated the Denver Nuggets 149-106 in Game 2. This victory marked the first win for a home team in this playoff round.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander played exceptionally well. He dominated the game until the end of the third quarter. He left with the Thunder leading by 48 points. Gilgeous-Alexander scored 34 points and had eight assists. He shot 11-of-13 from the field and made all his free throws.

"I wanted to make an impact from the start," he said. "I let the game guide me." He noted that every possession was a test for him.

Oklahoma City set a franchise playoff record for points in a quarter. They led 45-21 after the first quarter, their best margin ever in playoffs.

Nikola Jokic acknowledged his team's struggles. He finished with 17 points but had six turnovers and a minus-36 plus-minus rating. "They were much better than us today," Jokic said about Oklahoma City’s performance.
