The National Paralympic Committee (NPC) of Ghana has appointed Professor Youhwan Kim as its new Technical Advisor and Sports Development Director.
The announcement took place at a ceremony in Accra, marking the beginning of his one-year tenure to boost para sports in Ghana. Samson Deen, NPC-Ghana President, thanked the Korean Government, the Korean National Paralympic Committee, and KOICA for their support. Professor Kim, a para sports expert deployed by KOICA, expressed excitement about contributing to Ghana’s para sports growth.
His objectives include providing technical advice, enhancing capacity building, and helping Ghana qualify for the 2028 Paralympic Games. His appointment is seen as a significant step towards fostering a more inclusive sports culture and empowering athletes with disabilities in Ghana.
