NSA reclaims Tamale Kaladan Park following legal resolution

The National Sports Authority (NSA) has regained control of Kaladan Park in Tamale. This follows a long legal dispute over the land.

The reclaimed area is about the size of five football fields. It marks an important step for the NSA's efforts to improve sports facilities nationwide.

This announcement came after a visit by NSA Director General Yaw Ampofo Ankrah. He visited the Northern Regional capital and met with staff at Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.

During his visit, Mr. Ankrah assessed facility conditions and discussed future plans. He noted that some infrastructure is in poor condition but remains hopeful for investment.

Alhaji Abubakar Mahamoud, Chief Director of the NSA, confirmed their legal victory. The NSA has secured both Kaladan Park and surrounding lands that were encroached upon.

Once documentation is complete, the NSA will seek investors for redevelopment. This aligns with their goal of strategic reforms under the RESET agenda for sports development in Ghana.
