Nana Adarkwa names final Black Maidens squad for 2024 WAFU B U17 Girls' Cup

Ghana U17 women's national team coach Joe Nana Adarkwa has announced his final 20-player squad for the 2024 WAFU Zone B U17 Girls Cup, set to begin on December 12 at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence.

The Black Maidens are in Group A and will face Benin after Burkina Faso’s withdrawal. The team enters the tournament unbeaten in three preparatory friendlies against Rootz Sistaz, FC Epiphany Warriors, and Sissamba Ladies.

Key player Christiana Ashiaku, a standout midfielder from Rootz Sistaz, headlines the squad. She gained recognition as the top scorer and best player at the recent CAF Schools Championship in Niger.

Coach Adarkwa’s roster reflects extensive preparations, aiming to build on the team's momentum as they compete for regional glory.
