Napoli extended their Serie A lead to four points with a 2-0 win over Hellas Verona at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
The hosts took an early lead in the fifth minute when Giovanni Di Lorenzo’s shot hit the post and deflected off Verona's goalkeeper, Lorenzo Montipo, into the net. Despite missing a few chances, Napoli doubled their advantage after halftime with a stunning strike from Frank Anguissa.
Verona posed a late threat, but Napoli's defense, including key saves from goalkeeper Alex Meret, held firm. Napoli's defense has been a standout this season, with 12 clean sheets in their first 20 matches, their best since the 1981-82 campaign, as they aim for a fourth Scudetto title under Antonio Conte.
