Nations FC coach Kassim Mingle credits second-half tactical shift for win over Legon Cities

Nations FC head coach Kassim Mingle highlighted a key change in tempo. This adjustment helped his team secure a 2-0 victory over Legon Cities. The match took place at the University of Ghana Stadium on Sunday, May 18.

With this win, Nations FC moved to the top of the Ghana Premier League. They now have 57 points, one point ahead of Bibiani Gold Stars. They are also three points clear of Hearts of Lions and Asante Kotoko.

After the game, Kassim acknowledged that his team needed tactical adjustments. He noted that Legon Cities aimed to upset them, especially in the first half. However, in the second half, they raised their game’s tempo significantly.

Kassim said, “They couldn’t stand the tempo.” He added that they capitalized on this moment to score their goals.

The 67-year-old coach is close to making history with Nations FC. They are pursuing their first-ever Premier League title with only three matches left in the season.

Next, Nations FC will face defending champions Samartex on Sunday, May 25. This match could be crucial for the title race.
