New Black Queens coach Kim Bjorkegren promises to continue superb form

Newly appointed Black Queens head coach Kim Bjorkegren has vowed to build on the team’s progress and improve their FIFA ranking.

Speaking at his unveiling on February 14, 2025, Bjorkegren acknowledged past efforts, particularly the Volta project, and emphasized the need to sustain momentum.

Ghana is currently ranked 66th in the FIFA rankings, a position Bjorkegren believes does not reflect the team's true potential.

"With the quality we already have, we should be in a better position," he stated, expressing confidence in long-term improvement.

The Swedish coach aims to elevate the Black Queens’ global standing and performance as they prepare for upcoming competitions.
