New England Revolution has parted ways with Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah after the 2024 MLS season, opting not to extend his contract.

The experienced centre-back, who joined New England from San Jose Earthquakes in 2024, struggled with form and consistency, making only eight appearances as the team failed to make the playoffs.

Mensah, a former Columbus Crew captain and 70-time capped Ghana international, has had a distinguished MLS career, making 190 appearances, scoring seven goals, and providing three assists.

The Ashantigold Academy graduate, who previously played for Evian in France and Anzi in Russia, may continue his MLS career with another club as he enters his ninth season.
