New NFA leadership engages Kwaw Ansah in strategic industry dialogue

The National Film Authority (NFA) recently visited Ghana's legendary filmmaker, Kwaw Ansah. They aimed to discuss the future of the film industry and gain insights from his experience.

Kwaw Ansah welcomed the NFA delegation warmly. He shared his views on how audiovisual media can transform society. He highlighted film's role in preserving Ghana’s heritage and shaping societal values.

Kafui Danku-Pitcher, the Executive Secretary of the NFA, emphasized the importance of this meeting. She noted that learning from legends like Kwaw Ansah is vital for their strategy. The NFA aims to grow Ghana’s film industry and enhance its global competitiveness.

James Gardiner, the Deputy Executive Secretary, expressed gratitude for meeting Mr. Ansah. He stressed that transformation starts at home through audiovisual media. Gardiner also mentioned the need to promote the Ghanaian language in content creation.

This visit marks a new consultative approach by the NFA. They aim to strengthen collaborations and harness knowledge within the industry. Other veterans like King Ampaw, Rev. Chris Hesse, and Prof. Abequaye will join this ongoing dialogue to support Ghanaian cinema's evolution while honoring its cultural roots.
