FIFA High-Performance Specialist Faisal Chibsah commented on the Black Stars squad. He believes new players' performances in the 2025 Unity Cup will challenge the technical team.
Many key players missed the four-nation tournament. Coach Otto Addo used matches against Nigeria and Trinidad and Tobago to give young players a chance.
Some newcomers took full advantage of this opportunity, which pleased Chibsah. He expressed excitement about seeing fresh talent in the national team.
Chibsah noted that coaches often lack time to evaluate new players. He felt this was an ideal moment to test them while giving main players a break.
He mentioned that these performances might cause sleepless nights for the technical team. They will need to choose the best players for upcoming competitions.
"Some have made strong cases for themselves," he said. This creates a dilemma for the coach ahead of September's games.
Chibsah appreciated the chance given to new faces and found it positive. He looks forward to seeing these players again in September.
The Black Stars will regroup for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers then.
