Ruben Amorim defended his decision to drop Marcus Rashford from the Manchester United squad despite their 4-3 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup quarterfinals.
Rashford was absent for the second consecutive match, having also been left out in the 2-1 win over Manchester City. In a recent interview, Rashford suggested he wanted to leave the club.
When asked if the loss to Spurs made him reconsider his decision, Amorim remained resolute, stating, "I feel that I do the right thing for the team so it's never a mistake." He added, "I'm always doing the best for the team in my way of seeing things." United fought back from 3-0 down but couldn't avoid defeat.
