Nobody should do it again- Nations FC Head Coach on Emmanuel Annor’s “Religious” Act

Nations Football Club head coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle has issued a warning. He told his team to avoid celebrations that could lead to punishment. This follows an incident involving forward Emmanuel Annor.

Mingle spoke after Nations FC's 4-1 victory over Legon Cities. This win keeps them at the top of the Ghana Premier League standings.

With three games left in the season, Nations FC has 57 points. Bibiani Gold Stars is close behind with 56 points.

Annor celebrated a goal against Kumasi Asante Kotoko by removing his jersey. He revealed a shirt that read “I Belong To Jesus.” This violated GFA rules on religious messages and resulted in a fine of 500 Ghana Cedis for Annor.

Mingle emphasized that this behavior should not happen again. He addressed the entire team, not just Annor. "In Ghana, they won’t caution you; they’ll fine you," he said.

Nations FC will face FC Samartex next on May 25.
