AS Monaco manager Adi Hutter expressed disappointment after his team’s 3-0 UEFA Champions League loss to Arsenal, citing defensive errors as the key issue.
Mohammed Salisu's second-half back pass was intercepted by Kai Havertz, allowing Bukayo Saka to score Arsenal's second goal in the 78th minute.
Saka had earlier opened the scoring in the 34th minute, while Havertz sealed the win late on. Hutter criticized the defensive lapses, stating, “At this level, such mistakes are unacceptable,” but acknowledged Arsenal’s missed chances.
Despite the defeat, Hutter praised Monaco’s second-half performance, highlighting their courage and improved attacking play. He noted the team’s youth and near-equalizing efforts but admitted the defensive “gift” proved too costly at this level.
