Nurudeen Amadu has left his position as head coach of FC Samartex, just months after leading the club to win the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League title.
Amadu’s departure, agreed upon mutually, comes after 13 matches in the 2024/25 season, during which the team struggled, recording three consecutive defeats in the league.
Additionally, they were eliminated from the MTN FA Cup by Bibiani GoldStars SC and failed to advance in the CAF Champions League after being knocked out by Raja Casablanca.
Assistant coach Henry Wellington will temporarily take charge of the team, which currently sits 10th in the league with 17 points, ahead of their Matchday 14 fixture against Bechem United.
