Everton extended their unbeaten run in the Premier League to seven matches with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Brentford.

Yoane Wissa gave Brentford the lead just before halftime, nodding home a rebound after Bryan Mbeumo's header struck the crossbar.

Everton had earlier missed golden chances, with Beto failing to round goalkeeper Mark Flekken and then being denied again minutes later.

The Toffees pushed for an equalizer in the second half, and after Wissa had a second goal ruled out for offside, Jake O’Brien finally broke through.

The defender headed Vitalii Mykolenko's cross past Flekken in the 77th minute to earn Everton a point.

Brentford remain in mid-table, while Everton continue their push for safety with their resilient unbeaten run.
