Opoku: Asante Kotoko striker earns Ghana call-up for 2025 Unity Cup

Ghana coach Otto Addo has invited Kwame Opoku to the 2025 Unity Cup.

Opoku is a striker for Asante Kotoko. He is 26 years old and plays locally. The tournament will take place in London at Brentford's Gtech Community Stadium.

Since joining Kotoko in December 2024, Opoku has excelled. He has scored 10 goals in all competitions this season. His performance has made him a key player for the team.

The Black Stars will compete in a four-nation tournament later this month. Ghana will face Nigeria in the semifinals on Tuesday, May 28. The match will kick off at 19:00 GMT.

The winner will advance to the final on Saturday, May 31. They will play against either Jamaica or Trinidad and Tobago at 12:30 GMT.
