Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) Technical Director Francis Oti Akenteng has taken legal action against former Hearts of Lions and Asante Kotoko player Emmanuel Amoako Agyemang, known as Okebo, over alleged defamatory statements.
In a viral video, Okebo claimed that Oti Akenteng demanded money from his manager for a U-20 national team call-up and accused GFA officials of taking bribes for player selections.
He also alleged that former Hearts of Lions owner Victor Ahiakpor influenced selections with financial inducements.
Oti Akenteng's lawyers have dismissed these claims as false and damaging to his reputation, demanding an immediate retraction and apology within seven days. Failure to comply could lead to legal action, adding to the ongoing debate about integrity in Ghanaian football.
