Coach Otto Addo has chosen 23 players for the Unity Cup 2025. The tournament will take place in London this week.
Four home-based players are included:
- Benjamin Asare (Hearts of Oak)
- Razak Simpson (Nations FC)
- Kamaradini Mamudu (Medeama SC)
- Kwame Opoku (Asante Kotoko)
Joseph Tetteh Anang, a former West Ham goalkeeper, gets his debut call-up. He currently plays for St. Patrick's Athletic in Ireland.
The squad also features Black Satellites players Abdul Aziz Issah and Aaron Essel. They performed well at the recent U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Top talent Caleb Yirenkyi from FC Nordsjaelland is included. Mohammed Gadafi Fuseini from Union Saint-Gilloise in Belgium is also part of the team.
Returning players include midfielder Abdul Samed Salis from Sunderland and forward Felix Afena Gyan. Majeed Ashimeru from Anderlecht is back as well. Afena Gyan returns after nearly two years away, while Salis comes back after an injury layoff.
The team will report to camp in London to prepare for the Unity Cup. Ghana will face Nigeria at the GTech Community Stadium on Wednesday, May 28. The winner will advance to the final on Saturday, May 31, 2025.
