Calls for change in Ghanaian football have intensified after the Black Stars failed to qualify for the 2025 AFCON.
Football administrator Elliot Aryitey is among those demanding head coach Otto Addo’s dismissal.
Ghana has won only two of its last ten matches, yet the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has chosen to revamp the technical team by appointing 15 new staff members instead of addressing the head coach’s role.
Aryitey criticized this decision, calling it a waste of resources. He argued that a coach should be held accountable and replaced if results are poor.
He also expressed frustration with the GFA’s leadership and advocated for broader changes, including at the Sports Ministry. He believes Ghana needs stronger leadership to improve its football performance.
