Nana Akomea, a prominent member of the New Patriotic Party, has urged the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to retain Otto Addo as the Black Stars' coach for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Addo has faced heavy criticism after failing to qualify Ghana for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) for the first time in 21 years.
The GFA's Executive Council remains divided on his future, with a final decision expected on November 27, 2024.
Akomea cautioned against a "panic mode," emphasizing the importance of stability ahead of crucial qualifiers.
Ghana, currently joint-top of Group I with nine points, must win upcoming matches against Chad and Madagascar to maintain World Cup hopes. Addo has secured two victories in his second stint as coach.
