Data Bank CEO Kojo Addae-Mensah insists that Black Stars' poor performance does not make Otto Addo a bad coach.
Addo, who signed a three-year contract in March 2024, has faced calls to resign after failing to qualify Ghana for the 2025 AFCON, finishing with just three points. Despite this, Addae-Mensah supports him, emphasizing his coaching abilities.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has decided to retain Addo but has strengthened the technical team.
German coach Winfried Schäfer has been appointed as technical advisor, while Desmond Ofei joins as an assistant.
John Paintsil and Fatau Dauda keep their roles, with Kris Perquy and Gregory De Grauwe added as team psychologist and video analyst. The team prepares for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar in March.
