Black Stars coach Otto Addo visited Ghana defender Alidu Seidu in France before his successful knee surgery.
Seidu, a Stade Rennes right-back, injured his left knee's cruciate ligament during a Ligue 1 match last month. Addo offered encouragement and support during this challenging time.
The surgery was successful, but Seidu will be sidelined until next year, missing Ghana’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers in March against Chad and Madagascar.
Prior to the injury, Seidu was in excellent form, winning Stade Rennes' Player of the Month Award in September.
Addo’s visit emphasized the importance of morale-boosting gestures as Seidu begins his rehabilitation and works towards a full recovery.
