Palace sign Millwall's Esse on contract until 2030

Crystal Palace has signed 19-year-old Millwall winger Romain Esse on a five-and-a-half-year deal for a reported £12m, potentially rising to £14.5m with add-ons.

Esse, who has represented England at various youth levels, made his Millwall debut at 17 and has scored seven goals in 66 appearances. This season, he has netted five goals for Millwall. Palace chairman Steve Parish hailed Esse as an exciting, crowd-pleasing talent, while manager Oliver Glasner expressed anticipation for his potential.

Esse's move follows Millwall manager Alex Neil's call for a resolution to the speculation around the player’s future. The transfer was finalized after Esse completed a medical, and he expressed excitement about joining Palace and their project.
