Parliament has approved the appointment of Buem MP Kofi Adams as Minister of Sports and Recreation.
President John Dramani Mahama appointed him in January, and he was vetted by the Appointments Committee last week. During the vetting, Adams assured his commitment to developing sports holistically.
Today, Parliament adopted the committee’s report and approved his appointment, allowing him to be sworn into office.
As he prepares to assume his role, he has been advised to be cautious, particularly regarding football.
In an earlier interview, Adams stated that while football development remains important, he will also prioritize other sporting disciplines.
