Parliament will support Kotoko’s trip to USA to play DC United

Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin has announced support for Asante Kotoko's upcoming match against DC United in the USA on October 12, 2024.

This match is a reward for Kotoko's victory in the inaugural Democracy Cup.

Bagbin revealed that Parliament will seek corporate funding to assist the club and emphasized football's role in nation-building.

Asante Kotoko legend Opoku Nti expressed gratitude, noting the match as a significant opportunity for the team to showcase their talent. He also called for measures to ensure the sustainability of the Democracy Cup, which celebrates Ghana’s 30 years of parliamentary democracy.
