Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey urged his teammates to improve their performances following a disappointing 1-1 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion, which saw them lose crucial points in the Premier League title race.
Reflecting on the result, Partey acknowledged the team’s frustration, saying, “We were sad, frustrated, everybody was down, but that’s part of football.” Despite the disappointment, he found some positivity, noting, “It’s also a positive one because we did not lose.”
Looking ahead, Partey emphasized the importance of focusing on upcoming matches: “We have to try our best and win these games because they’re the most important ones... to win, you have to be perfect.” Arsenal now turns to the EFL Cup semifinal against Newcastle United on January 7.
