Awoniyi, who had an impressive season last year, has been limited by injuries, allowing Wood to take the starting role and score nine goals in 14 appearances this season.

Pearce highlighted Forest’s effective counterattacking style, noting their victory at Liverpool.

He also emphasized the team’s depth, with both Wood and Awoniyi providing reliable goal-scoring options.

Despite this, neither striker found the net in Forest’s 3-0 loss to Manchester City. Forest will look to recover in their upcoming match against Manchester United.
