Former Black Stars midfielder Yussif Chibsah has revealed the salary range of players in the Ghana Premier League, stating that some earn as little as GHC 400 per month, while others receive up to GHC 21,000.
Speaking on Sporty FM, Chibsah, who is the head of player relations at the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG), commended clubs like Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak, and Medeama for offering higher wages.
He noted that while some players earn between GHC 18,000 and GHC 21,000, the low salaries in the league force many talented players to seek opportunities abroad.
Currently, the Ghana Premier League is suspended following the tragic death of Asante Kotoko fan Francis Yaw Frimpong, also known as Nana Pooley.
