Potter 'stronger person' after Chelsea sacking

West Ham boss Graham Potter admitted he "wasn't in a good place" after being sacked by Chelsea in April 2023 but believes the experience made him "stronger."

Potter, who won just 12 of 31 games with Chelsea despite £550m in signings, took a 20-month break before returning to manage West Ham in January 2025.

He reflected on his time away, saying it helped him gain perspective and appreciate life outside football.

While he had offers to coach abroad, he wanted to prove himself in the Premier League.

Since taking over West Ham, he has won just one of five games, with the club sitting 15th. He urged fans to be patient, emphasizing that success requires time, trust, and hard work in the demanding Premier League.
