On November 20, 2024, President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) presented nine buses to the top three teams from each of the three zones in the 2023-24 Access Bank Division One League, fulfilling a pledge made in July 2023.

The initiative, part of the GFA's merit awards scheme, addresses transportation challenges faced by clubs and aims to improve player comfort and travel logistics.

The buses were funded through increased revenue from collective efforts. Simeon-Okraku revealed plans to extend the strategy to the Women’s Premier League, with four clubs set to receive buses soon.

Representatives from the beneficiary clubs expressed gratitude for the support.
