Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has urged supporters to stay positive and back the team as the Ghana Premier League season enters its crucial phase.

His plea followed a 1-1 home draw against Bechem United, where Kotoko surrendered their lead and had to rely on a late penalty to rescue a point.

Coach Ogum admitted the team lacked intensity and struggled to dominate midfield play, which allowed Bechem to take control at key moments.

“We looked slow today. I don’t know if it was fatigue, but their movement didn’t reflect what I saw before kickoff,” he noted.

Despite the disappointment, Ogum emphasized the need for emotional support from the fans, warning that fading support could hurt morale. He acknowledged fans’ high expectations after recent strong home performances and stressed that this is the moment the team needs unity the most. Kotoko next face Accra Lions in a tough away encounter.
