Sergio Conceicao has been appointed as the new head coach of AC Milan, following the sacking of Paulo Fonseca.
Milan sits eighth in Serie A, 14 points behind leaders Atalanta, and is struggling in the Champions League. Conceicao, who boasts an impressive 72.3% win rate from his time managing in Portugal, expressed confidence in the challenge ahead, aiming to restore Milan to its prestigious standing.
His first match in charge will be the Supercoppa Italiana semi-final against Juventus in Riyadh on Friday. Conceicao, who has a personal connection to Juventus after scoring a last-minute winner against them in the 1998 Supercoppa, is also joined by his son Francisco, who plays for Milan on loan from Porto.
