Former Ghana assistant coach, George Boateng, shared his experience of helping the Black Stars qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. After a disappointing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) performance, Ghana faced Nigeria in World Cup playoffs.
The first leg ended in a 0-0 draw, and the second leg in Abuja finished 1-1, with Ghana advancing on the away goal rule.
Boateng, who worked alongside head coach Otto Addo, second assistant coach Didi Dramani, and technical advisor Chris Hughton, expressed his excitement about qualifying for the tournament.
He found the experience unforgettable and appreciated the significance of participating in the World Cup. Ghana won one match against South Korea but lost to Portugal and Uruguay.
