Emma Raducanu revealed she "couldn't see the ball through tears" and "could barely breathe" after being stalked during a match at the Dubai Championships.

A man who had followed her to four tournaments was removed and given a restraining order.

Raducanu, 22, criticized how the situation was handled but acknowledged lessons had been learned, with increased security now in place.

Despite the emotional toll, she returned to play at Indian Wells, where she has felt happier. Raducanu had previously been stalked in 2022.

Fellow British player Katie Boulter shared her own experience of receiving threats and praised Raducanu’s strength.

The incidents highlight the security risks female athletes face, but Raducanu remains focused on her career, preparing to face Moyuka Uchijima in the first round at Indian Wells.
