Rafael Nadal reflected on his legendary rivalries with Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer after retiring at the 2024 Davis Cup Finals.
He acknowledged that their intense competition pushed them to achieve historic success.
Nadal's iconic battles include his 2008 Wimbledon final win over Federer and the 2012 Australian Open final loss to Djokovic, the longest Grand Slam final ever.
Though neither Federer nor Djokovic attended his last match, Nadal harbors no hard feelings, emphasizing their mutual influence.
He admitted their rivalries took a physical toll, with Federer still suffering from knee pain and Djokovic battling injuries.
Despite this, Nadal believes their fierce competition elevated their technical and mental games. With Nadal and Federer retired, Djokovic feels a part of him has already left tennis.
