Reigning Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) champions, Rangers International FC of Enugu, are facing growing unrest due to unpaid wages, with players and staff yet to receive their November salaries as of December 20.

The club's financial struggles stem from a lean budget allocated by the Enugu State Government, but General Manager Barrister Amobi Ezeaku has secured sponsorships to keep operations running.

The salary delay has created tension within the squad, especially as they defend their league title.

Head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu, currently with the Super Eagles B team, has reassured players that the issue will be resolved. Rangers, in third place after 17 weeks, expect their wages to be paid before Christmas.
