Ranieri warns Roma ‘can’t attract top coaches’ without Serie A success

Claudio Ranieri Claudio Ranieri

Claudio Ranieri emphasized that Roma's primary focus remains on Serie A, despite their 4-1 victory over Sampdoria in the Coppa Italia Round of 16.

Goals from Artem Dovbyk, Tommaso Baldanzi, and Eldor Shomurodov secured the win, setting up a quarter-final clash with Milan.

Following a disappointing 2-0 loss to Como, Ranieri praised his players' response but stressed the importance of improving their league form.

He also warned that Roma must perform better in Serie A to attract top coaches. Ranieri, who will remain as head coach until the end of the 2024-25 season, will transition to a directorial role and assist in the search for a permanent manager.
