Real Madrid confirm attendance at referee reform meeting as Premier League model is considered

Real Madrid has confirmed their attendance at a committee meeting with the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) to discuss potential reforms to the refereeing system in Spanish football.

This follows an invitation extended to the club by RFEF President Rafael Louzan and La Liga President Javier Tebas, as part of efforts to mend ties after Real Madrid’s accusations against referees.

Real Madrid, represented by General Manager Jose Angel Sanchez, will be involved in discussions about creating an independent refereeing body, inspired by systems used in the Premier League and Bundesliga.

The club’s support for reforms is contingent on the establishment of this independent body, separate from both La Liga and the RFEF.
