Real Madrid open to selling defender in January

Real Madrid is reportedly considering signing a new central defender in the upcoming winter transfer window, which could lead to Jesus Vallejo's departure.

Despite being one of only two fit senior center-backs, Vallejo is not a priority for coach Carlo Ancelotti, with Raul Asencio and Aurelien Tchouameni ahead of him.

David Alaba is also expected to return soon from injury. Vallejo's contract expires at the end of the season, and Real Madrid is open to selling him in January for the right offer.

Rayo Vallecano is interested in signing Vallejo and may either reach an agreement in January or offer a pre-contract for him to join next summer.
