Real Madrid to ‘intensify’ contract talks with Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold

Real Madrid is reportedly close to signing Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold on a free transfer this summer.

Despite Liverpool's efforts to extend his contract, Los Blancos are in pole position, with reports suggesting the deal is 95% complete.

According to *The Telegraph* and *Diario AS*, Real Madrid will intensify contract talks in the coming weeks, offering a salary between €9.5m and €12m per year.

The club initially attempted to sign him in January, offering up to €25m, but Liverpool refused.

Alexander-Arnold is seen as the long-term successor to Dani Carvajal, who is recovering from a serious knee injury.

It remains unclear whether Lucas Vázquez will stay next season. Previous transfer talks have typically occurred later in the season, but Real Madrid is pushing to finalize this deal soon.
