Red Carpets: Event Organisers should start selecting persons, consider appearance fees –Nana Akua Addo

Nana Akua Addo is a Ghanaian actress and fashion icon. She recently suggested that event organizers in Ghana should select individuals for red carpet appearances.

She believes these organizers should also pay appearance fees. Nana made this proposal during an interview on 3Lounge on May 16, 2025.

She stated, “Our red carpet space has come of age.” She emphasized the need for organizers to choose specific people for these events. She also mentioned the costs involved with vendors.

Her comments followed the recent Telecel Ghana Music Awards on May 10, 2025. Celebrities showcased various styles at this event and the Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards.

Nana Akua Addo addressed rumors about her not attending the Telecel Ghana Music Awards. She clarified that she would never turn down an invite from Charterhouse, the event's organizers.

She expressed gratitude towards Charterhouse for giving her a platform to gain fame. “I can never take that for granted,” she said.

Nana described attending a Charterhouse event as returning home. “It feels like a prodigal daughter coming back home,” she explained. Her relationship with Charterhouse is personal and meaningful to her.
